I have created a petition asking for Coach Childress to be fired. Mr. Wilf is a business man and we are his customers. If enough of us complain, he will have to fire Childress.

Introduction
During Week 3 of the 2007 season, I came to an inescapable conclusion: Brad Childress needs to be fired. The sooner the better because the longer these team remains under under the reigns of the mustachioed dolt the more the once proud Vikings offense settles into profound mediocrity.
Brad Childress inherited a team that finished the 2005 season 7-2 and just out of the playoffs. Supposedly they were a few players and a new coaching staff away from being legitimate Super Bowl contenders. We made serious moved that offseason. Steve Hutchinson, Chester Taylor, Tony Richardson, Ben Leber, Tank Williams all came in as free agents. We went from the smallest and lowest-paid coaching staff to the largest. We were ready to show the NFL just how far we came.
And suddenly, it became a "rebuilding year." The improved offense under the the new "offensive genius" head coach faltered. Our sights immediately settled on Brad Johnson, our veteran QB, despite the fact that he led us to that 7-2 record the previous year. By the time our rookie QB, so full of promise and potential, stepped on the field the season was already finished.
Despite the fact that we went from being a contender to "rebuilding" we listened to his reasons. We looked forward to free agency and the draft. We as much money as any team in the league. We had a solid base of players. We hoped for some of the top free agent talent to come Minnesota's way. What we got was Bobby Wade and Visanthe Shiancoe. Nevertheless, we pressed on. Late April rolled around and the Vikings had a stellar draft. We got some of the best young talent in the league. Once again, we had hope.
The start of the regular season heartened us. We blew out the Falcons at home. Our rookie looked as good as promised. Our defense continued their scoring ways. We still had hope. Sure, the Falcons were a bad team but we blew them out. That's what good teams do. Right?
Then the Lions and Chiefs games destroyed that hope. Against one of the worst defenses and worst teams we managed 10 offensive points each game. Tarvaris Jackson threw 4 interceptions and promptly got hurt. Kelly Holcomb did as bad as Jackson did. At some point, we realized that it wasn't the players that were the problem, it was the system.

1. Gameplan
2. Playcall
3. Make half-time adjustments
